Trail Hunt

A new scent sport has arrived in Uxbridge and we’re beyond excited to share it as only the second Trail Hunt International Instructor in all of Canada!

What is Trail Hunt? Its a trailing and tracking sport (not unlike Mantrailing) that uses odour (vs human scent) to hunt for source (the odour pod).

We lay an odour trail in the environment and teach your dog how to find the hidden pod!

As we ‘walk the pod’ we leave odour pockets and your dog’s incredible nose will connect the dots to find the pod! This activity is a simple, fun way to engage your dogs natural olfactory skills, and can also become a sport if you continue for more difficult hunts through Foundations Plus (class schedule coming soon!).

Exceptional sport for “reactive” dogs, those that struggle with focus or confidence. It builds problem solving, reduces stress, can help decrease prey drive, and there’s not prior experience in nosework needed!

It’s an awesome teamwork activity and the benefits are endless!

All ages.

If your dog experiences “reactivity” when near other dogs or people, please contact me to discuss. This class is EXCELLENT for so called “reactive” dogs. Though a quick chat will help us determine if this class is the right fit or if ‘Reactive’ Dog Class (semi-private) feels like a better place to start.

A minimum of 2 registrations required for this series to proceed. Once registered, if a series does not proceed, you will recieve a full refund.

Registration is complete upon payment.

Please note all registrations are final. No make-up classes. No pro-rating for missed classes. Thank you for understanding.

During the winter season classes can be canceled due to poor weather/road conditions and make up classes are ALWAYS provided in this case.

Outdoor classes, spring through fall, proceed in all weather with exception to heavy rain, thunder and lightening.
